Whether it’s a streamlining decision on the part of the developer or a planned future expansion, it’s still a slight miss on the overall Uncharted 4 experience. For example, the multiplayer option and cooperative survival mode in the original A Thief’s End game are not available. While the bundle faithfully recreates both games in better resolution, not all features made it to the new offering. Also, if you’ve enjoyed the cinematic storytelling in the original games, prepare for an even more immersive feel as you see the heroes take the biggest surprise of their lives. This results in a more life-like experience, with the mentioned set pieces now made more visually breathtaking. Graphics-wise, the two games have been updated to make the most out of the technology that wasn’t available when they were originally released. Its story alone is enough to convince you, not to mention how Chloe Frazer’s character gives a refreshing perspective to the larger picture–a worthy successor to Tomb Raider. Lauded by players and critics alike, A Thief’s End was a fitting swan song to Drake’s adventures that spanned almost a decade. Without spoiling anything, UNCHARTED™: Legacy of Thieves Collection offers a perfect opportunity for what might be Nathan Drake’s last mission.
